I love LibraryThing - mostly because I love the people who run it. I like they way they think. I like the way the act. They run a pretty nifty site also.

I’ll share just one of the nifty things with you in this post. I’m a member of a group there called PinoyThng. It has 96 members today. Who knows what ties bind us - probably being Filipino, or living in the Philippines, or who knows why someone might join PinoyThing Group.

But go visit this page. It gives you the latest reviews written by Group members. That’s pretty nifty. Of course I can also see all the books we have in common. But I can also see what other groups members are joining - that’s helpful! And … I can see what books members have recently added to their library.

But the best thing about PinoyThing is that the author J.K. Rowling holds only the positions 4, 8, and 9 in the top shared books - as opposed to positions 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 for LibraryThing as a whole.
