DSL in Malaybalay #3 February 7, 2007
Here’s a handful of tests from dslreports.com for philcom.ph in Malaybalay (from the last fourteen days):
I may have a serious problem on my hands - not quite sure yet. Earlier this morning I was getting 416 kbsp download speed - with that I can get some work done on the internet, though it doesn’t support all I need to do - like videoconferencing.
But the speed at the moment (11:30am Wednesday) is 69 kbps - and that’s simply untenable. Speeds in the range of 69 have been a frequent occurrence since Friday. Higher bandwidths are purportedly available - my fear is that they won’t be able to deliver on the higher rates even if I pay. So far they haven’t been able to deliver on 512 kbps very reliably.
But we’ll see. In my last conversation with them, they said they could only change the bandwidth subscription on the 1st of the month. That’s not going to work very well for me either.
