Asian Internet Problems December 28, 2006
The ISPs are apparently throttling certain sites. For example, I have no problem getting to my server, working on my blogs and posting. But if I put in flickr.com or bloglines.com or vox.com, it slows to a crawl.
So I tried accessing those sites through a CGI proxy I have running on my server in the States and they load just fine. Sheesh. Whadda ya know. The more obscure the site is, the easier it is to access today.
But I’m having a hell of time getting work done. I’m trying to do some online research for a proposal I’m working on but most files I want to download just won’t.
