Anybody that went to grammar school in the US during the 50’s remembers the YOU ARE THERE flim clips in which actors portrayed an historic moment that was filmed as if the camera were at that moment in time.

MLQ3 has just posted audio files of the opening session of the Citizen’s Congress for Truth and Accountability. And he’s providing narrative commentary, with background sounds and all.

This is amazing! This is not a first, but it is a step along a process that is changing everything.

Forgetting for a moment the specific content, the mere fact that a private individual can bring us (sitting anywhere at any place in time) not only into the moment but also the unedited voices of the individuals in the context of the moment is important.

Note that it wasn’t done by ABS-CBN; it wasn’t even done by PCIJ. This was done, in pretty damn good quality, by an individual.
